Easter at Cosoba: When promises are kept

We arrived at the Dinu family before Easter. Two bedrooms. Nine people. A father who tries to carry everything alone. A mother who can't work.

And, amidst all the missing things, the kids weren't asking for much. When I asked them what they wanted for Easter, the answer was simple: a chocolate bunny.
That's it.

No big things. No lists. Just a chocolate bunny.

But beyond the things, I think that's what mattered the most: that someone listened and came back. Because sometimes, that's all you need to feel a little bit of the holiday magic... to know that you were heard and that promises really do come true.

We left there with the promise that we would return. And we kept it.

A few days before Easter, we returned. Not just with the chocolate bunnies, but with everything we could carry: building materials, clothes, supplies, food. At one point, they had so many in their arms that they couldn't hold them anymore.
